At QaviloPDF ("we", "us", or "our"), we believe in transparent, straightforward document processing. This Privacy Policy details how we handle files, technical data, analytics, and prospective advertising when you use our website and tools at qavilopdf.com.

1. Architectural Principle: Privacy by Design

QaviloPDF was engineered from the ground up to minimize data collection and server transmission. We provide thirteen everyday document utilities, twelve of which operate entirely inside your web browser without uploading your files to any remote server.

2. How Your Files Are Processed

A. Browser-Based Tools (12 Client-Side Utilities)

The following 12 tools process documents 100% locally in your web browser using client-side WebAssembly and JavaScript libraries: Merge PDF, Split PDF, Images to PDF, JPG to PDF, PNG to PDF, PDF to JPG, Extract PDF Pages, Rotate PDF, Organize PDF, Add Page Numbers, Watermark PDF, and Sign PDF.

  • Local Storage Only: Selected PDF files, page thumbnails, text phrases, image stamps, and drawn signature strokes remain on your local computer, phone, or tablet.
  • Zero Server Upload: Zero bytes of document content, page visuals, or metadata from these twelve tools are ever uploaded to our backend servers.
  • Memory Release: In-memory file references and object URLs are cleared immediately when you reset the tool, navigate away, or close your browser tab.

B. Server-Based Tool (Word to PDF Converter)

Converting Microsoft Word documents (.docx and .doc) requires server processing to preserve typography and layout:

  • Encrypted Transmission: Files are transmitted over encrypted TLS/HTTPS directly to our conversion server.
  • Isolated Worker Processing: Conversions are performed in memory using an isolated LibreOffice WebAssembly worker subprocess. Documents are never forwarded to third-party commercial conversion APIs or external services.
  • Transient Memory & Immediate Deletion: Uploaded Word files and output PDF binaries exist only temporarily in system memory during conversion and are permanently deleted immediately after the output stream is returned or upon timeout.
  • Zero Permanent File Storage: We do not operate a user document database, permanent file store, or document archival system.

3. Information We Collect and Do Not Collect

No User Accounts: QaviloPDF does not require registration, accounts, or logins. We never ask for, collect, or store your name, postal address, phone number, password, or financial payment details.

Technical Server Logs: Standard technical metadata (IP address, browser type, request timestamps, and status codes) is recorded in transient logs strictly for network communication, uptime monitoring, security diagnostics, and rate-limiting abuse protection.

4. Cookies, Browser Storage & Analytics

QaviloPDF uses limited browser storage and analytics technologies to improve website functionality and understand how visitors use our services.

Browser Storage: We use your browser's local storage to remember your analytics consent preference.

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic, popular tools, and general usage patterns. Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* when analytics tracking is enabled.

You can manage your analytics preferences through the consent controls provided on our website.

5. Advertising & Third-Party Services

QaviloPDF does not currently display advertisements.

We may introduce Google AdSense advertisements in the future to help support the costs of providing free PDF tools.

If advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure advertisements, subject to applicable privacy and consent requirements.

You can learn more about Google's advertising practices and privacy controls here:

We will update this Privacy Policy and implement any required consent controls before activating advertising.

6. Data Security & Realistic Limitations

We enforce HTTPS encryption across all web pages and API endpoints with HSTS. While we enforce rigorous transient processing routines and do not retain user files, no digital system can be guaranteed 100% immune from security risks. We advise against uploading classified or sensitive documents to any online tool.

7. User Choices & Data Rights

You have full control over your browser environment, including blocking cookies or disabling JavaScript. Because we do not maintain accounts or store documents, we hold no personally identifiable document profiles to access, correct, or delete.
